New wiring harness for controlling the fan on the radiator for cooling the coolant. Used in several 205s where the slow and high speed of the fan is controlled by a series resistor.

This wiring harness is mostly found in the Peugeot 205 GTI / CTI phase 1.5 and 2 models where only 1 fan is installed.

Original and quality

The wiring harness is built by us according to the original specifications such as dimensions, wire colours and plugs. We always use high quality copper wire and new original cable shoes. Where possible, we use new original plugs. We use slightly thicker copper wire, which improves the current flow and the life span considerably.

We finish all connections between copper wire and cable lug with heatshrink tubing. This is our standard SKS method which ensures an extra long and reliable service life. Furthermore, the wiring harness is well finished with PVC insulating sleeve and insulating ring tube like the original.

Plug radiator and insulating cap

In the somewhat older 205 types, a different 3-pole white T plug was often used to connect to the thermal contact in the radiator. An insulating cap was then also placed over the plug.

You may already have another thermal contact switch that just needs a standard 3-pin horizontal plug. We can then fit a new 3-pin black plug. Often they were originally blue, of these we could fit a used one as we cannot source them. But the blue and black have the same connection profile and are interchangeable. See photos below for clarification. Should we place a used part, it is always in good to very good condition and everything is well cleaned and refurbished.

Function of the plugs in the cable harness

The plugs in the cable harness provide the following connections:

• Fan main power supply from fuse box
• Radiator fan temperature switch (thermocontact)
• Pre-switching resistor for 2 fan speeds
• Fan motor switched mode power supply
• Test plug (was present in some models but is not connected)
• Earth plug
