After your purchase, we will contact you so that you can send it to us. We can also make the wiring harness with pipes so you can connect it, but we have now (since February 2026) also produced a new upgraded version of the wiring harness with a waterproof plug.

New UPGRADED version with waterproof plug

We have now also released the wiring harness with a new waterproof plug where we supply the corresponding mating plug. Look for here.

Original and quality

The wiring harness has the original dimensions.

For strength and to prevent corrosion and short circuits, each connection between copper conductor and cable lug is finished to a high standard. This is our standard operating procedure at SKS. We also use a slightly thicker diameter for the copper cores. Our wiring harnesses therefore have an extra long and reliable service life.

Common faults caused by wear and tear of the sensor wiring harness

The engine sensor wiring harness is almost always severely worn in the 205. The following faults are common due to wear and tear on this wiring harness:

  • Poor or no starting ability
  • Pointers in the instrument panel not working or working sporadically
  • Dashboard meters displaying anomalous values
  • Failing sensor warning lights such as oil pressure alarm, coolant temperature alarm or alternator charge alarm light

The photos below show the condition we usually find the engine sensor wiring harnesses in the Peugeot 205.

Location and connection of engine sensor wiring harness

The engine sensor wiring harness connects to a 7-pin brown female plug you find on top of the clutch housing, somewhere under the airflow meter. All types from November 1987 onwards have this plug. You might want to check this just to be sure. The engine sensor wiring harness for earlier types has only 3 wires, you will find these here.

The individual wires go to the starter relay and the sensors on the engine block.

Easy to assemble yourself.

We now also offer the option to order the female brown 7-pin plug separately including the female cable lugs.
