In the case of a wiring harness restoration, we restore the tree to peak condition. We clean all plug housings thoroughly. As do the contact pins and cable lugs so that they make good contact again. There's also the occasional towbar I bought one that fits the oldtimer or youngtimer. The assembly of the towbar is often easy but as soon as the electrical wires need to be connected, things go wrong. We make sure that the wiring of your trailer hitch is properly connected to the wiring on your car.
In older vehicles often thin main / battery cables used. This creates resistance in the cable which poor start, a low voltage and Bad charging of the battery as a result. Especially after many years, when you also get problems with transition resistance due to corrosion, this will cause problems.

For 15 years I, Jesper, have been the proud owner of a Peugeot 205 CTI 1.9 from 1993 (phase 2). Over the years, I have always been tinkering with the 205. I have since completely restored my 205. Everything has been addressed. The chassis, a new D6B engine with gearbox, new interior, Sonneland hood, stainless steel exhaust line etc.
New wiring harnesses, of course, could not be left out. Since I grew up with the construction of wiring harnesses, which my father made for Tractions, I was able to pass on this knowledge to the 205. The technology is a bit newer again, which you notice by the addition of plugs, which were still cable eyes on classics.
I then removed the ECU engine wiring harness, the headlight wiring harness from the fuse box, the 7-pin phase 2 sensor wiring harness which is linked to the ECU tree, the 205 taillight wiring harness phase 2, the wiring harness to control the cooling fans and the 205 phase 2 battery cable set newly built.

When wire harnesses age wears out the insulation. This insulation serves as protection so that the copper of the vein not in touch comes with the other vein or the body. This is called short circuiting.

With this main stream battery cable set for the Peugeot 205 CTI / GTI replace the old worn-out cables between the alternator, starter motor, battery, small fuse box, engine block and body. The set can also be used for several other Peugeot 205 models. As long as the starter motor and dynamo are on the same place.
The battery cable set is an instant upgrade to your current main power cables. Current batteries require at least 14 Volts for a good charge. The old main cables give too much resistance because they are very thin. Especially over time, the core wears out and corrosion occurs, which only makes the problem worse. Because of this, you will never reach 14 Volts. Especially when you turn on (heavy) power consumers such as your lights or fan, the voltage collapses completely. The 7-pin engine sensor wiring harness can be found in the Peugeot 205 GTI / CTI phase 1.5 and phase 2 models. These were produced from 1988 onwards. The wiring harness controls the starter relay and all the gauges and some alarm lights in the dashboard. You connect the wiring harness to a 7-pin brown mating plug found on top of the clutch housing. Almost always, this wiring harness is completely worn out in the 205.
