Cable harness for controlling the ignition module, coil and power distributor in the Peugeot 205 GTI / CTI phase 1.

Commonly found in the 205 GTI / CTI 1.6 models with the XU5J (180A and 180Z) engines. But also in some convertible CTIs with 1.9-litre XU9J1 (DFZ) engines.

Original and quality

The wiring harness has the original dimensions and is 100% new.

The red 1-pole plug was originally usually yellow, sometimes different in colour. Yellow is not available, which is why we use red.

For strength and to prevent corrosion and short circuits, each connection between copper conductor and cable lug is finished with heatshrink tubing. This is our standard procedure. As a result, our wiring harnesses are characterised by an extra-long and reliable service life.

Different versions

There are several versions of this wiring harness.

We divide 2 types:

Type 1: This has 1 white 2-pole connector plug and a black 1-pole connector plug.

Type 2: This has 1 white 2-pole coupling plug and 1 brown 2-pole coupling plug.

Location and connection of ignition module/coil wiring harness

The wiring harness is connected to the main wiring harness in the engine cabin via the white 2-pin plug. The wiring harness controls the ignition module and ignition coil.
