This battery cableharness for the positive PLUS connection circuit of your Peugeot 205 GTI / CTI phase 1.5 or phase 2 replaces your worn battery cables between the alternator, the starter motor, the small battery fuse box and the battery positive terminal. Thanks to the thicker copper core and high quality cable lugs, it is an instant very good upgrade to your electrical circuit. Original battery cable colours and sizes have been used.
Applicable to all Peugeot 205 models with XU engine but also many other models such as the XY.

Advantages of our battery cables over your old thin battery cables
The old cables are not thick enough to deliver the alternator output voltage of 14 - 14.4 volts across the battery without voltage drop. Especially with heavy electrical consumption from, say, the lights and/or fan, the voltage on your old battery cables easily drops below 13 Volts. Current batteries need exactly 14 volts to charge properly and stay in good condition. You also lose a lot of power when starting with the old cables.

The battery cable set consists of the following parts:
- Battery cable red between alternator and starter motor
- Insulation cover for connection to alternator
- Battery cable black between starter motor and battery positive terminal
- Insulation cover for connection to starter motor
- Battery terminal plus pole
- Insulation cover for battery terminal plus pole
- Battery cable yellow between plus pole and small fuse box
The cables have a high quality copper and a durable insulation jacket that also protects against heat, dirt, acid and liquids such as fuel, oil and coolant. Heavy-duty cable lugs for optimal current transfer.
For an extra safe and reliable connection, the cable lugs are pinched with hydraulic pliers. To protect against corrosion, shrink tubing is applied around the cable lugs. Like the original, PVC corrugated tube is applied around the cables to protect against wear and tear.
We use the original size and colour cables. The battery cable set is plug n play and has a long service life that will get you back on the road long and reliably.
Insulation caps
The battery cable set comes standard with a red insulation cap on the battery positive terminal and black insulation cap on the alternator and starter motor.
Originally, however, only black insulation caps were supplied. Do you prefer all-black insulating caps or red insulating caps? No problem, just leave your requirements in the notes field on the checkout page or contact us.
Customisation

Voltage on the battery was 13 volts, board voltage 12.5. Jesper advised me to replace the plus wiring harness, I had already replaced the minus wiring harness. Now I have 14.4 volt on the battery again. Now I finally have nice red covers.
