This battery cable set for the Citroën BX Sport replaces the worn plus and minus main cables between the alternator, starter motor, body and battery. The original battery cable colours and sizes have been used.

Applicable to the Citroën BX Sport and several other models. If you need a modification or different model, please contact us. We customise them for all models.

Please note, we will receive your old original battery cable set in advance. We reuse the large power plug as this is not for sale new. If required, we will also reuse the black plastic insulation cap for the battery plus pole. If it is broken, we will fit another insulation cap.

After placing your order, we will contact you for shipping your old cable set to us.

Advantages of our new battery cables over the old worn cable

Main power cables wear out over the years. Due to the prolonged passage of high currents, the copper wears out, giving it an increasingly higher specific resistance, in addition, corrosion occurs. The result is voltage drop resulting in less and less voltage falling on essential components in the car. Especially with heavy electrical consumption of, for example, the lights and/or fan, the voltage easily drops with the old worn-out battery cables. Current batteries need precisely the 14 Volts to charge properly and stay in good condition. You also lose a lot of power when starting with the old cables.

The battery cable set consists of the following parts:

• Battery cable black between alternator, starter motor, battery plus pole and plug connection for main power supply
• Insulation cover for connection to alternator
• Insulation cover for connection to starter motor
• Battery terminal plus pole
• Battery cable ground with battery negative terminal

We reuse the old plug connection for the main power supply of your original cable set. This is carefully cleaned and the contacts stripped of corrosion and dirt.

The cables have a high quality copper and a durable insulation jacket that also protects against heat, dirt, acid and liquids such as fuel, oil and coolant. Heavy-duty cable lugs for optimal current transfer.

For an extra safe and reliable connection, the cable lugs are pinched with hydraulic pliers. Shrink tubing has been applied around the cable lugs to protect against corrosion. Like the original, extra insulation has been applied around the cables against wear and tear.
