Webshop and placing orders

When you place an order in the webshop then your IP address and completed personal information such as name, address and email address are stored. This is very useful because then we know who placed the order and where we can send it to. Optionally, you can also enter your company name and phone number. 

If you are located outside the Netherlands, no VAT will be charged when you enter your company name and valid VAT number. The authenticity of this number is checked via an automatic link with the website of the European Commission. There are all company names and their VAT numbers known that are located in the EU. This is the VIES system. 

If you are located outside the EU, you never pay VAT.

When filling in your details, you can select the option to create an account. When you do this, a password is automatically created and sent to your email. With your username and password you can log into your account where you can see information about your order. You can also change your address, view your invoice and change your password.

During the checkout of a product, the payment is handled by the linked system of Mollie. The personal data you share here will only be shared with Mollie and/or your own bank. Here Read how Mollie handles this data.

When your order is completed, you will receive a confirmation email with a summary of your order at the email address you provided during ordering. A few days, weeks or possibly even months later you may receive an email asking you for a review. This is done by Customer reviews (CusRev). If you accept this request and place a review it will be shown on our website. You can specify with which name this will be displayed. Your email address will never be made public. After you have completed the review you will receive an e-mail with a discount code which you can use in the webshop.

Placing reactions

When you leave a comment such as a review under a product, the data you enter and your IP address are also stored. Only your name, your written message and the star rating will be visible on the website. Your email address is only used to receive a confirmation email of your comment and an email when someone responds to your comment.

When you fill in the contact form, the same applies. Your completed data will be stored so that we can respond to your comment. This data will never be visible on the website.

You always have the right to ask us to remove these data from the database.

Active on the website and cookies

When you are active on our website, Google Analytics anonymously records data about the use of the website. This allows us to see things like how many visitors the website receives and how long and on which pages visitors are active. This data cannot be traced back to you personally.

On our website you are protected by an SSL connection. This means that no one can intercept your data who wants to see what you enter.

As with almost all websites, on kabelbomen.com cookies are placed. This ensures that the website is user friendly. For example, your username is remembered so you don't have to fill it in again next time. Also the products you place in your shopping cart will be remembered.
