New battery cable set to replace your worn out battery cables in the Citroën Traction Avant. You can choose from the 4 cylinder version, which is used in the 11BL, 11BN, 11C Commerciale, Familiale and all other 4 cylinder Tractions, or the 6 cylinder version for the 15-Six. The plus and minus battery cables are both 35 mm².

The plus cable connects BAT plus to the starter motor. The minus cable connects BAT minus to the engine block, its attachment is at the back of the engine block on an M10 bolt under the battery.

We add an extra ground cable that can be connected to the bodywork, for example at the brake oil pan. This significantly improves the eletrical circuit in your Traction.

Original cable lengths and cable lugs

We use the original cable lengths. On the plus cable between Bat plus and the starter motor is an M8 cable lug for mounting on the starter motor, like the original. On the minus cable between Bat minus and the engine block, there is an M10 cable lug for mounting on the engine block, like the original. You will find this M10 bolt on the back of the engine block under the battery.

The extra added ground cable has a cable eye M8 and can be attached, for example, to the brake oil pan mounting point or any other good spot on the bodywork.

Although the original Plus cable in the 11BL is 3cm shorter than the 11BN, the 91cm cable provides just fine. The difference is negligible.

CAUTION: The cable set is intended for Tractions where the electrical circuit is still original. If a starter relay and/or ground lock has been fitted later, you will need a Traction customised battery cable set needed. Ground cable on the body

All our battery cable sets for the Traction come with a standard ground cable that you can place between the body and BAT minus. This will improve your electrical circuit considerably because the current from your lights and such will not have to return to the battery through the engine. The engine vibrates and hangs in rubber silent blocks making it anything but reliable. Nowadays, you see that mass strips are placed in cars. We recommend to install this extra ground wire.

Quality battery cables

With these high-quality 35 mm² battery cables, you will no longer suffer from voltage drop and the electrical circuit of the main currents in your Citroën Traction Avant will be in top condition again.

Comes with a battery terminal with the + symbol and a battery terminal with the - symbol. The battery terminal clips are hydraulically tightened to the cables, eliminating unnecessary transition. This ensures maximum current flow and less corrosion.

Can be used for both 6V and 12V installations.
